Story #13: The Chinese Hate Us

Note: since the last story couldn’t manage to garner a single comment in the day since it was posted, my collective pact with ya’ll to write a story a day till the end of the year is finished. On the one hand, this makes me a little sad. On the other hand, it does free me up a bit – I’ve had some ideas that I knew I couldn’t bring to completion in a single day, and now I have the option to explore those.

Thanks to the people who read the stories and commented. Much appreciated. (You can, of course, continue to comment on the new ones as I post them, and I will continue to appreciate it.)

Lots of really funny parts, arguing about shit in the ways that I recognize always makes me giddy. I also liked the ending this time, I felt I got some payoff.

Disliked - I thought Carl could've been fleshed out a bit more or he could've just been left out. As it was, he didn't add much, but I am nitpicking mostly just to come up with something I disliked about this story. It was really funny.

    Highly enjoyable.

Liked: funny, flowed well, good ending. You painted a really nice picture of the protagonist with just the right brush strokes.
Disliked: The "You wonder about all those boring old guys" part could be taken out completely, I think, it broke my flow and confused me a bit.
  • I don't think there's any shame in working on something that will take longer. As long as you're working, it counts in my book. Or maybe I'm just trying to catch up to you, dammit.

Is there any way I can request a "do over"? My fucking RSS reader puts me one day behind with my comments, and my timezone doesn't help either.
