The artist formerly known as DDB and I are engaged in an exercise to hold each other accountable for stuff. I made a list of goals, and projects (which I’ve defined as incremental sub-components of goals that you can finish in a day or two) and every day we mail each other about what we accomplished that day, and what we failed to accomplish. I would feel really, really good about this except that it coincides with my least-effective period as a human being EVER. So my daily ‘successes’ are sort of like the retarded kid coming home and telling mommy he only pooped his pants one time.
Still, I think it’s a great idea, and DDB (or, as he liked to be known now, Mr. Crumplepants – I don’t understand the name, but far be it from me to deny him) has already been a great help, since without having to be accountable to him I probably would have given up already. Now, if only this could happen in the context of a contest, and I’d really be set.
Anyone have any suggestions on how to do this better?
